SpatialTEQ, Inc. values the privacy of those who visit our Web sites and register for our software and services online. We think it is important for you to understand when and why we collect personally identifiable information and how we may use it. This Privacy Policy explains how SpatialTEQ collects and utilizes your personal information when you use our Web sites or services.
While browsing our Web sites, you may be able to access the Web sites of our affiliates and third parties through a hyperlink. SpatialTEQ assumes no responsibility for the privacy practices of third parties' Web sites and suggests you review the privacy statements/policies on such Web sites before sharing your personally identifiable data.
SpatialTEQ collects certain personally identifiable information such as your name, e-mail address, and postal address through our registration process to create your account with MapBusinessOnline. We also gather statistics on how you use our Web site and services (the Service Usage Statistics). All the information we collect is employed solely to improve the services we offer, better understand how our products are used, enhance customer support and onboarding, develop more relevant product communications, improve the accuracy and effectiveness of our marketing, analyze support inquiries and product usage patterns, and maintain the security and performance of our services.
When you plot a database on a map with MapBusinessOnline we process the data on our servers. We extract only data columns you designated to be used on map. We delete original data file immediately after designated data has been extracted. We store these selected data columns for you in our access protected database in encrypted form.
Certain information, such as the Internet Protocol (IP) address of your computer, may be stored using "cookies" intended to speed access to SpatialTEQ information and services. A cookie is a small file that can be used to tell us when you visit our Web sites and track your browsing preferences. SpatialTEQ does not use cookies to store information such as credit card numbers, telephone numbers, or other information you provide.
From time to time, we release alpha and beta versions of our products and services, which are further refined before the release of the final production version. Since these products and services are still in the testing phase, we may not always catch an unintended privacy issue, despite our efforts to do so. As such, we welcome feedback on any privacy concerns you may have, and on how to improve our products and services generally, in all stages of release. SpatialTEQ does not guarantee error-free performance under this privacy policy.
We will never rent, sell, or lease any of the personally identifiable information we collect from you to third parties. We will not share your personally identifiable information with third parties, with only a few exceptions listed below. All our vendors that receive your information from us will only use it to provide specific services for SpatialTEQ and are bound by privacy policies that are published on their respective websites.
- In certain situations, we may be required to disclose your personally identifiable information in response to lawful requests from Officials (such as law enforcement or security authorities).
- We share your name, street address and email address with the payment processor when you make a purchase on our Web site.
- We share your name, street address, email address, company name, support inquiry content, and Service Usage Statistics with our customer relationship management (CRM), marketing automation and service desk providers to facilitate communication with you, deliver relevant product updates or marketing information, track and manage your support inquiries to better assist you, and improve the services we provide.
- We may share your support inquiry content, email address, and Service Usage Statistics with third-party analytics and artificial intelligence service providers to analyze product usage patterns, support interactions, identify common issues, improve product functionality, and enhance customer experience. These providers act solely as processors and do not use your information to train or improve any publicly available models.
- We may share your company name and email address with advertising and marketing platforms to support business-to-business audience creation, including account-based targeting.
- We may share your name and email address with data enrichment service providers that supply business-to-business information such as job titles, company size, or industry classification. We use this information to better understand our customer base, develop Ideal Customer Profiles (ICP), and improve the relevance of our communications and audience targeting.
- If you use the chat widget on our Web site, we will collect the information you type in the chat session and share it with the provider of the chat widget service.
- If you call the support phone number published on our Web site, the content of your conversation with our support agent will be shared with our customer support platform vendor for the purpose of retaining the audio recording in order for us to better assist you.
- If you are using a Corporate Account as defined in “Corporate accounts” section of Terms of Use, the organization owning the account may request specific personal information about the account, including your name, e-mail address, postal address; and the Service Usage Statistics including login attempts and time of login. The organization may also initiate a transfer of the Corporate Account to another person in the organization, in which case your maps and data will be transferred as well.
- If your account is under an investigation related to a suspected infringement of patent, trademark, copyright, trade secret, or other proprietary rights of a third party, we reserve the right to share the Service Usage Statistics including login attempts and time of login, map and dataset names with the law enforcement and/or the third party making the infringement claim, if it’s necessary for the investigation of the incident.
SpatialTEQ will take reasonable and prudent precautions to ensure that your personally identifiable data is protected against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure:
- We use secure connections using SSL to safeguard certain information when transmitted from your Web browser to SpatialTEQ.
- We use security controls to restrict access to databases housing personally identifying information.
- We use encryption for sensitive personal information.
You may review and edit information we store about you in our database on Account page.
We may revise this Privacy Policy to keep it up to date with SpatialTEQ products, services, and Web pages. The “Last updated” label at the top of this Policy indicates when this Policy was last revised. If we make significant changes to the Privacy Policy that affect your rights, we will provide you with at least 30 days advance notice of the changes by email to the email address you have specified for your account. If you think that the updated Privacy Policy is no longer acceptable with respect to your use of our products or services, you may terminate your use by sending us an email within these 30 days. Your continued use after the effective date of changes to the Privacy Policy will be deemed to be your agreement to the modified Privacy Policy. You will not receive email notification of minor changes to the Privacy Policy.
If you believe for any reason that SpatialTEQ has not followed these principles, please contact us and we will act promptly to investigate, correct as appropriate, and advise you of the correction. Please identify the problem as a Privacy Policy concern.
